I put this under The Good Old Days because it seems appropriate.

The man pictured here is a "traveling preacher." He is approaching southern Denver on his way north to spend the summer in Wyoming. He does not know yet where that will be. His four Belgian draft mules are pulling tandem covered wagons.

He makes 4 mph and has two dogs with him, plus all the comforts of home. There are no support vehicles.

He drives the mules four days per week and then gives them the weekend off.

The wagons are converted farm box wagons that have solar panels charging a cell phone, TV, and radio. But, he says he is too busy talking to people, wherever he stops, to use the TV.

He uses a wood stove and propane for cooking.

He refuses to talk about his age, traffic safety, or what he pays for his mules.

He has no flock but spreads the gospel where ever he stops.

His base is Arizona, where he says he returns to Ash Fork every couple of years to pick up his mail.

Wow. Did you get his name? Sure would have been good to see a picture of him.
