Herbert Dwayne Conyers of Wichita, Kansas, died on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 75.  Herb was born August 13, 1935 in Piedmont, Kansas to Herbert and Beatrice Conyers.

Herb went to Gardner Elementary School , Hamilton Junior High, and graduated from Wichita East High School in 1953.  He attended Bethany Methodist Church in Wichita. He began his career as a civic leader as President of the Kansas Jaycees in 1967 and 1968.  He then served as Administrative Assistant to four national Presidents of the United States Jaycees headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma and became a Washington Lobbyist for the U.S. Jaycees for 4 years.  Later, Herb worked for the Safelite Auto Glass Company, rising to National Sales Manager over 500 stores nationwide.  Before retirement, he worked for Physicians Mutual as an insurance Sales Consultant.  Upon retiring, he moved to Beaumont, Texas to spend time with his son and daughter-in-law and then moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where his daughter's family lives to continue the quiet years of his life.

Herb is survived by his siblings, Gary and Larry Conyers of Wichita, Kansas and their families; the mother of his children, Janet Jess Conyers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his daughter, Shelly Kate and husband, James Salvia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his son, David Dwayne and wife, Dawn Conyers of Beaumont, Texas; and his grandchildren, Leslie and husband, Frank Wilson and Meredith Salvia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside United Methodist Church with burial in Rose Hill Burial Park, both in Oklahoma City.  Services are under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73121.
