Mahlon Hubert Ames, 84, of Valrico, Florida, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at his home.  He was the son of the late
Arthur Mahlon and Vivien Gerke Ames.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Florence Ames.  He is also survived by three daughters from a previous marriage; Yvonne (Kenneth) Everson of McDonough, GA., Deborah Dutcher of Snellville, GA., and Angela Sanders of Buckhead, GA.  He leaves three grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was cremated and there was no service, per his wishes.

He was raised in Moline and graduated from Moline High School in the class of 1943.
