While cruising the internet this morning I came upon an item called, "Howard, Kansas, A Struggle to Survive."

It is material of an audio visual nature, perhaps a filmstrip, that is in the Pittsburgh State University library.

The consultant is named as Irving Spiegel.

There is no publication date mentioned and the specific content was not mentioned.

Further search indicated a 1975 Library of Congress Catalog of Copyright listing mentions it by title but contains no other information.
"If one of the many corrupt...county-seat contests must be taken by way of illustration, the choice of Howard County, Kansas, is ideal." Dr. Everett Dick, The Sod-House Frontier, 1854-1890.
"One of the most expensive county-seat wars in terms of time and money lost..." Dr. Homer E Socolofsky, KSU
