Carl Walker Moore, 79, a retired dairy farmer from rural Longton, Kansas, died Sunday morning, January 16, 2011 at the Fredonia Regional Hospital.  Carl was born to Emory and Margery (Smallwood) Moore on April 25, 1931 at Tonkawa, Oklahoma.

He graduated from Longton High School in 1948.  Carl served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955.  He had been in failing health the past five years.

Survivors include two brothers, Raymond of Linn Valley, Kansas and Randy of Longton, Kansas; a sister, Beverly Crowell of Oswego, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Longton Cemetery in Longton, Kansas.  Memorials may be left to the Longton Senior Citizens Center.
