I am having a time trying to get 2010 population data, even though the information was supposedly released today.

I did come across the following 2010 census data from the Wichita Eagle that addresses vacate homes.

According to the Eagle, Howard has a vacate house rate of 19.2%, which is rather good compared to some others. No other Elk County towns were listed.

Sedan has a 20.7% vacancy.

Eureka has  22.8%.

Burden (west from Grenola on US 160 in Cowley County) has 26.9%.

Cedar Vale has 36.8%.

Marion, which is east of McPherson, has an almost 50% vacancy rate.
