Found this in some of my mother-in-law's treasures.

Wilma, that is an absolute treasure, thanks for posting it.  I know/knew a lot of the graduates.  I will print that and put it in my Howard High book of history. I have a lot of the years but none this far back. Thanks again

I like their class motto "Not at the top, but climbing."
"If one of the many corrupt...county-seat contests must be taken by way of illustration, the choice of Howard County, Kansas, is ideal." Dr. Everett Dick, The Sod-House Frontier, 1854-1890.
"One of the most expensive county-seat wars in terms of time and money lost..." Dr. Homer E Socolofsky, KSU

I have the lists of all of the graduates from the first graduating class in  1887 thru 1987. The 1887 Class had 2 graduates. It is onteresting how the sizes of the classes got bigger for many years and then started going the other way. I also have pictures of all of the graduates from the class of 1937, they are from and old newspaper article.

When I read that at first, I wondered why Grandma  Furrow would have that. Then I read the list and saw Aunt Mildred's name on there. Nice to post that, Mother. It looks like it is in good shape.
