David L. Mullendore, farmer and rancher, was born near Franklin, Indiana, January 27, 1873, son of John and Mary E. (Robinson) Mullendore.  He received a common school education and upon reaching maturity became a farmer and cattle breeder.

His marriage to Mettie Blanch Killam was solemnized at Howard, March 1, 1896, and to them two children were born, Chad Harold, July 23, 1898, who married Helen Ames, and B. Noel, September 5, 1901, who married Phillis De Pew.

Mr. Mullendore in addition to his land and cattle holdings, engages in banking and in the oil business.  He is a member of the Commercial Club, the Christian Church and the Masons (32nd degree, Scottish Rite, Median Temple of the Shrine).   His favorite sport is hunting.

A Democrat, he served as a representative from the 48th district of Kansas in the legislative sessions of 1927, 1929 and 1931.  Mr. Mullendore is chairman of the Federal Relief Committee of Elk County, and is extremely active in all good road work.

It is apparent that Noel was married twice.  Phillis Depew being wife No. 1 and Gertrude Hamar was wife No. 2.    I am wondering if Noel had any children by his first wife.
