Clifford G. Pickell, 77, of Wichita, Kansas, died at home November 23, 2010.  He was born April 20, 1933 near Elk Falls, Kansas.

He graduated from Fredonia High School in Fredonia, Kansas in 1952.  He then served in the U.S. Army in communications and then worked at Beech Aircraft for 35 years.  An avid deer hunter and outdoosman, Cliff was known for the record whitetail buck he took during the archery season in 1968.  

Clifford leaves behind his wife, Diane of 19 years. Survivors also include a sister, Ruby Patchett of Emporia, Kansas; daughter, Gail Hacker (Darrell)and son, Chris Pickell (Lucinda) all of Wichita, Kansas; stepchildren, Jody Crabtree (Michael),  Debbie Martindale (Randy),  and Chris Cox (Michelle); 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and lots of friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 -8:00 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2010, and funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, all at Old Mission Mortuary, 3424 E. 21st Wichita, KS. A memorial has been established with Catholic Care Center 6700 E. 45th N. Wichita, KS. 67226 and with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
