A popular new law that bars Oklahoma courts from considering Islamic law, or Shariah, when deciding cases was put on hold Monday after a prominent Muslim in the state won a temporary restraining order in federal court.

Two state legislators were quick to blast the judge's ruling and the Oklahoma attorney general, who they said did not stand up to support the new law.

They may not have the 1st amendment, but historically they have given rights to both men and women to protection from abuse and arm.  Sadly, under Sharia law men can beat their wives, their daughters, even stone or slaughter their own children for anything that they feel violates the Koran.  If British magistrates allow this type of behavior in England, a nation that historically protected life and liberty of its citizens, where is the equality of men and women then?  It's a slippery slope here in the US as well.

We must resist Sharia law, regardless of our 10 amendments.  It's only a matter of time before American liberal judges allow Sharia to take hold.  Maybe not now, maybe not in 5 or even 10 years, but unless the individual States stand up for their own Constitutions that afford its citizenry protection, no one will be safe from this lunacy.
