Lookatmeknow!!

Well, on so many levels the school should be held accountable for what the kids were doing to this little girl. It is so wrong!  I get calls from the bus superindent when my kids miss behave on the bus and also have gotten called by parents.  I take care of the problem right then and there.  I do not stand for any bulling! If the school was notified, I wonder why they did nothing about it. When you have a special needs student, and that is what this little girl was, they are required by law to provide that child with a way to and from school. That is what the law states.  And it should be a ride that is not harmful to the little girl.  If that was my child, I probably wouldn't have stormed the bus.  I would have pulled her out of school, actually and got me a lawyer.  If the guy actually called the proper chains, such as principal, superindent of schools, bus driver, and still nothing done, that is what I would have done. Because to me this should not ever happen to a child. Every child should be able to attend school without threats and such!

I'm surprised that little girl could even ride a regular bus with no lift or aide unless she was lucky enough to have a rather mild disability. I'm sorry that for some the only solution to most anything is violence. That can backfire. I don't agree that it's a very good role model for kids. Some on here have said themselves that no one else but them lays a hand or their child. Wouldn't the other kids' parents feel the same way?
On the one hand some say to whip the child in school who disobeys the teacher, then others don't want their child touched by anyone else except themselves. There are a lot on mixed messages flying around here. I wrote earlier a number of other ways that the situation could have been handled. Something absolutely should have been done by the school authorities, at least the transportation director, but having an angry father on a bus also scaring kids who had nothing to do with the incident could have sent other parents to school complaining about him! Suppose he had completely lost it and took a gun on the bus? He was obviously not in control of himself! Why did the driver let him on in the first place? That angry father could have taken the driver hostage!
Those perpetrators should have been reported to the school by the bus driver and should have lost their bus privileges right after the first incident.  No tolerance, period! I'd love to know the real details and the end of the story.

The father has apologized for his behavior and his lawyer is saying that he has volunteered to do community service.

Great! That sends a positive message. Any idea what became of the tormentors?

Have read no news of what happened to them.
