Cheesy Meatball Soup

Taken from the 2006 Good News Cookbook

Sent in by Jeanne Sleeth of Caney, Kansas (She was a Finalist)

2 qts. water
4 lg chopped potatoes
2 cups chopped carrots
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
4 beef bouillon cubes or 1 can beef broth
1 cup whole kernel corn
16 oz jar Cheese Whiz
1 tsp. tabasco sauce
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 lb. hamburger
1 egg
1 tsp. salt

Mix meatballs with hanburger, egg, salt, bread crumbs, and tabasco sauce.  These should be small. Brown meatballs and drain grease off.  Place water, bouillon and all other ingredients except Cheese Whiz and corn in large kettle.  Bring to a boil and simmer approximately 2 hours or until vegetables are done.  Before serving andd Cheese Whiz and corn and stir gently.  If using slow cooker, cook approximately 8 hours.  This is a delicious and filling soup for cold weather eating.
