If bad words are "just words" does that mean TV will  soon no longer bleep out profanity? Kids can cuss out their teachers with no fear and teachers can call their students whatever spic, wop, nigger, redneck, kike, grease ball towel head, inbred bigot hillbilly name they want with no repercussion?  Whoope!    Sigh. I'm just shaking my head. To me this is just as serious as the worries about socialism. I'm not sure verbally bullying someone has any business hiding behind freedom of speech. Kids will learn from the parents who then will protect the little darlings so it doesn't reflect on themselves. When and how does it stop?

Kids should learn and adults should practice good manners and acceptable language.  But no word should be banned.  Dr. Laura    ( I don't like her)  was acting in the role of counselor and she was trying to help.  She did not do a good job of helping.

What I have noticed since Dr. Laura first went on the air:  she does not listen to the caller before she starts a rant about her own ideas.  In this case she should have listened more carefully and then approached the topic of the relationship with the husband.
Then the husband's relatives especially his mother.  Then last and only last give her opinion that the caller might be too sensitive to race issues.
