Primary Election coming up

August 3, 2010 will be Primary Election day in Kansas.  We Republicans are having a very dirty, nasty campaign among the men for the Senate seat that Sam Brownback is vacating and for the House seat that Todd Tiahrt is vacating.  In my humble opinion, even though these men are Republicans, they are not worthy of serving in either capacity.  However, I will have to vote for someone very soon.  I know who I am not voting for.  All of the above.

For the House seat, neither of the two men vying for it have any experience, not to mention the very large amount of money they are spending on commercials slapping each other around.  I don't think I want anyone like that representing me.  There is, however, one person that is experienced and has a good record, plus a good reputation.  I am going to vote for Jean Schodorf for the House seat.  I watched her while I was living in Sedgwick County as she served in one capacity after another.  She has always given her best to whatever she was doing.  I truly think she will be the best choice to represent us in Washington.

As for the Senate seat, I am going to wait and see who else is on the ballot.  Neither of the well-known candidates are getting my vote.

I would like to ask you fellow Republicans to help me restore sanity to Washington by voting for Jean Schodorf.

go with the libertarians.  Locally they have 22 candidates running.  You get limited govt, and you get increased personal freedom, lower taxes and with limited govt, you get balanced budgets along with cuts in spending.
Have no use for a republocrat or a demolican.  different sides of the same coin.

quite frankly if they have held a office before, their tainted goods.  No use in putting them into the position unless their virgins.
Curb your politician.  We have leash laws you know.

I was having a discussion about this very thing yesterday Wilma. And Jean Schdorf would be my choice also were I a republican. She has spent her life serving the people in one capacity or another, starting with the schools. Quite frankly I am surprised about the amount of mud being slung in this a primary election. I guess we shall see.

Have you had a chance to read Rudy's editorial in this week's Prairie Star?  Seems he has discovered the same thing about two of our Republican candidates for the senate seat from Kansas that I have.  They are more interested in throwing mudballs than they are in what the people in Kansas need.

There is another candidate for this office.  In fact, there are two other Republican candidates for this seat.  Tom Little of Mound City and Robert Londerholm of Overland Park.  I don't know much about either of these men except that I haven't heard them trying to drag the other candidates down to their level.  One of them is going to get my vote.  I don't know which one yet.

I am so disgusted with the campaigns that Tiarht and Moran are conducting, I think it is time for both of them to get out of Washington.  I dislike the idea that this type of person is representing us and the State of Kansas.  I hope you all will think long and hard about who you want representing you in Washington.

Oh Wilma, I am SO with you on this one! I have voted for Tiahrt for years and I've really been taking a long hard look at him lately and I'm really not liking what I see. Neither Moran or Tiahrt will get this households' vote either! Wink Hartman and Mike Pompeo's ads are getting pretty bad too. All of these attack ads are just a little too ridiculous to me!

YOU CALL US HILLBILLYS LIKE THAT'S A BAD THING! WE ARE SO FLATTERED!

THAT'S MS. HILLBILLY TO YOU!

The time has come for the voters to be heard.  Let your vote say how you feel about the way things are being run.  Don't send anyone BACK to Washington.

This applies to everyone in the USA.  If you don't like what is happening, now is the time to change it.

Part of this is so true.  I am totally ashamed of what two of the Republicans that are running for Tiarhdt's seat are doing.  I have never seen such nastiness in campaigning.  Do you really want someone like these two men representing you in Washington?  Furthermore, a Republican is pretty likely to win the general election, so whoever wins the primary will be going to Washington.  Think about it a long time before you decide to send either one on those two pompous ____s to represent you.

VOTE FOR JEAN SCHODORF or any of the other non-leading candidates.  And to others outside this voting area, now is your chance to help clean up Washington.  We don't have to wait for a presidential election.  A good start can happen now.

This is just my opinion.  Remember there are some things worse than Obama.

I'd vote for her if I was already living there.  I met her briefly at the parade in Howard on Saturday.  Immediately liked her and was impressed that she was walking the route on such a hot day, in a blue suit and heels, handing out her own material.

I just had a very good conversation with Jim Anderson who is also running for Congress in the 4th District and am very impressed with him. He seems to be very sincere and genuinely concerned about us "little" people, not just the people of Wichita. He is a candidate "of the people, for the people" and wants to "return to citizen run, limited government".  Check him out on You Tube and Facebook or at Anderson4Congress.com.
