Mary Lorrene O'Dell, age 75, a resident of Howard, Kansas, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at her home.  She was born January 27, 1935 in Howard, Kansas, the daughter of Cliff Nichols and Lura (Shipman) Nichols.

Mary worked as a Unit Secretary at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  She was a member of the Independent Baptist Church of Howard.  She was a 4-H leader for the Flint Hills 4-H Club.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also loved her dogs and sewing.

Mary is survived by her son, Scott Prudhomme of Dewey, Oklahoma; her companion, Max Kniffen of their home in Howard; her sister, Pat Riggs of Moline, Kansas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  Mary was preceded in death by a son, Clifford (Butch) Prudhomme; a sister, Colleen Rush; and a brother, Jimmie Nichols.

Cremation has been requested, and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  The family suggests memorial contributions to the ASPCA and may be sent to the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left fr the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services have been entrusted to Zimmerman Funeral Home, P.O. Myrna and I partyed alot withh Lorre and her husband closed to 50 years ago. She was a lot of fun. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. Lorre has endured alot of medical problems in her life, she is no longer suffering.

A memorial service for Lorrene "Lori Nichols" O'Dell will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Howard Independent Baptist Church, 304 N. Pine, Howard, Kansas.  

Lori passed away Sunday, July 10, 2010 at her home in Howard, Kansas.  The family suggests memorial contributions to the ASCPA as Lori had a great love for animals.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman Funeral Home, Howard, Kansas.
