Thats right, lets just forget the fact that our military has and uses these things called "smart bombs".  We have the technology and capability for very surgical strikes.

The difference is the reasoning behind it Pam.  Fema camps and concentration camps etc, exist for the extermination of a certain element of people.  Border fences exist to protect a nations sovergnity and to help ensure that its borders and citizens are protected.

the REASONING behind it is the same........control the movements of the humans both INSIDE and OUTSIDE of said fence. Why is it so hard to grasp the concept that building a CAGE either to keep somebody IN or OUT is NOT freedom?

Let me try to explain this so you will UNDERstand it. I think immigrants should come into the country LEGALLY...in a perfect world they would. That aside........the very IDEA of a FENCE....electrified,mined, whatever.......closing off the borders from comin in OR goin out makes my SKIN crawl and the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. ANYbody who cannot wrap their minds around the concept that what KEEPS THEM OUT KEEPS YOU IN just boggles my mind. What kind of freedom is THAT??? the freedom to live in your CAGE? Seriously WHAT is SO HARD to grasp about that?? Justify it till you turn blue and fall over bud.. I ain't buyin what you're sellin.

Guitly of murder and arson....so be it.  Chances are that if somone died in a meth house fire it would be a meth head, so no big loss there.  Arson, only if they could prove it was me, which they couldn't.

As for the whole freedom thing...I have no intention of ever leaving this country. So a fence doesn't really bother me.

You can't police the entire border.  The best solution is to find the reasons that they come here illegally, and then take away the incentive.  No jobs for illegals, no reason for them to come here illegally.  The major parties have slacked off on enforcement because of corporate campaign contributions.  BOTH PARTIES.

You are obviously not well informed on why many of the "Illegals" are here. Many are not here for jobs working in legal bisinesses, many are here for Criminal activities, Terriost activities, Drug activities and to mooch off of the system. We can police the Border and the quicker we get started the better. We need to stop all immigration until we can get a handle on it. The cost to police the borders will be high but the cost to not do it will be even higher.

Actually, if you'd actually take the time to review their track record "smart" bombs have proven themselves time and again.  As for the bombs being able to control fire, simple.  The chemical compounds used in are usually burned up during the explosion, so the desired effect is achieved without much damage outside the target area. 

As for not being able to police the entire border, I would think that we can.  Bring our troops home and put them on the border. 

As for why the illegals are here, personally, I don't care, I want them gone. Companies that knowing hire them should be put out of business, welfare payments, schooling, medical care etc, should be denied to illegals.

I agree with you, Varmit...The term illegal alien has that word 'ILLEGAL' in it...I have noticed that it has become politically incorrect to use that term anymore.  Yet, that is exactly they are...Anyone who is here illegally needs to be deported immediately, no exceptions, no return ticket, along with a bill for all the money that they've sapped out of our economy and federal funds.  If you want to come back, do it like the rest of the immigrants have done over the last two centuries...APPLY...WAIT...PAY FUNDS TO GET HERE...REGISTER...BECOME A GAINFULLY EMPLOYED MEMBER OF THIS SOCIETY.  My ancesters are so recent that their feet are basically still wet...And WE did it that way...Just because you can walk across what is normally (when not exanded to a huge river) a streambed doesn't mean that you should automatically be allowed entrance to this country!
