  Maryln Elizabeth Murphy, 67, of rural Howard, died Sunday at Howard Twilight Manor.
  Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard with Pastor Robin Haines of the Flint Hills Assembly of God Church officiating.  Interment will be in grace Lawn Cemetery.
  Memorials are suggested to the Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University, and they may be left with the funeral home.
  Mrs. Murphy was born Jan. 11, 1939 at Rush Center to Floyd and Esther (Myers) Scheideman.  She attended North High School in Wichita and later completed her GED.
  On Sept. 1, 1955, she married Paul E. Whitted at Wichita, and they later divorced.
  She lived in Nebraska and Kansas before moving east of Augusta.  In 1972, she became employed at Beech Aircraft Company in Wichita, where she worked there for 28 years before retiring in 2000.
  On Dec. 19, 1998, she married Bill Murphy at Leon and they made their home on a farm southwest of Howard.  He survives.
  Other survivors include a son, Paul Whitted, Jr., Atlanta, Kan.; a daughter, Valarie Guerrero, Newton, two stepsons, Scott Murphy, of Douglass, and Mike Murphy, Wichita; a stepdaughter, Billie Gibbons, Wichita; seven brothers, Donald Scheideman, Augusta, Raymond Scheideman, Northridge, Calif., Richard Scheideman, Colorado Springs, Colo., David and Robert Scheideman, both of Wichita, Floyd Scheideman, of Florida, and Samuel Scheideman, San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Virginia Scheideman, Augusta, Ferm Burleson and Patricia Jones, both of Wichita; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
