MAHOOD, Twyla Faye (Ware) - b. August 12, 1924 - d. May 26, 2010

Twyla Faye (Ware) Mahood, daughter of Charles and Eva Ware, was born August 12, 1924 at Grenola, Kansas.  She passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in the Harper Hospital in Harper, Kansas at the age of 85.  

After graduating from Grenola High School, she moved to Wichita and graduated from the Lottie Franklin Private Business College.  Twyla was united in marriage with Stuart A. Mahood on July 22, 1988 in Wichita, Kansas.  After retiring from the Wichita Club, Stuart and Twyla moved to Harper Kansas.  He died February 16, 1997.  

Twyla was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a lifetime member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a past member of American Society of Women Accountants.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one brother, David Ezra Ware.  She will be deeply missed by her brother, Robert E. Ware of Moline, Kansas, her nephews,  and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Harper, Kansas with Rev. Robbie Fall officiating.  Entombment will take place at Old Mission Cemetery, Serenity Mausoleum, in Wichita, Kansas at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the Harper Hospital in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 613 W. 14th Street, Harper, Kansas 67058.
