From the editor of the Howard County Ledger (Elk Falls), February 25, 1875:

"The [Progressive] Communist is a little late this month, but we think it is better in its editorial and mechanical get up than was the January number. Those who desire to post themselves in regard to the principles of communism cannot do better than read this paper. Enclose 50 cents and address the 'Progressive Communist,' Cedarvale, Howard county, Kansas, and you will receive the paper twelve months."
