Try a Google search - Beretta Stampede - it returns a bunch.

Howdy Blue Drifter:

I own two Baretta Stampede's in .45 Colt (one 4 3/8" and one 5 1/2").  I am very impressed with both guns...and I am looking to buy two more very shortly.  The color case is very rich in color on the one gun and I particularly like the wide trigger.. Accurracywise...both of mine are right on point of aim at 25 yds.

How are things in Budd Lake???   Been awhile since I have been there.  I grew up in Bergen County and lived in Passaic for awhile (Ringwood).

Anyway..hope this helps

I have the same guns as Outrider and agree they're fine guns. I also think the Stampede is  a great choice for black powder. The closed design of the transfer bar keeps fouwling out of the hammer and internals better than the Rugers. Along with the one piece cylinder and cross pin frame making cleaning afeild a snap. Plus they look just like a current Colt an overdue and untapped market exepct for the Colt Cowboy which is now hopeless.

Blue Steel Traveller

As my first CAS revolvers we bought a pair of Stampedes - 357 with 4.75 with the Nitre blue finish.   In my opinion they are smooth right out of the box.  In fact, bought a spring kit, installed it and it feelt the same pull weight as the original. I also installed the  new sear spring and had to remove it as the trigger was not releasing after the hammer fell.  So we are back to the original springs and they work just fine.

We bought the AGI video on Colt SAA and a lot of the problems mentioned in the video are not evident on the Stampedes.  My wife shoots them and finds them smooth as well.  She says they are just a little heavy when loaded with 5 rounds but she does well with them.

Hope this helps.

Slickshot

I have a Beretta Stampede in .357 Mag.  I love the gun, except for a few minor items.  First, the grips are plastic (my opinion rubber should be used) and they cracked on me during my second shooting session with the gun (only fired 10 .357 Mag's and about 100 rounds of .38 Special loads).  I e-mailed Beretta and had new grips within 5 days.  Second, the frame has a Case Hardened applied finish, not real color case hardening with a clear coat over it.  My clear coat finish is coming off already in a small area.

Other than those items this is a great gun.  Cylinder lock-up is tight!  I get better groups out of this gun than I do my Ruger "old Vaquaro", and I thought that shot good!.

I have one in 357 that I shoot with black powder and a Snakebite bullet, loaded in 38 Special cases.  This load shoots better than smokeless ammo and the pistola cleans up with soap and water.  After a short time my ejector rod head broke off, I obtained a replacement from Brownells for a Uberti Cattleman, as I needed the gun for a shoot and didn't have time to wait for Beretta to send me one.  It would be nice if they made the rod a 2 piece unit like real Colt's, so the investment cast Italian job wouldn't break.

Doc Sunrise

I have a Stampede also, good feel to it, but was really dissapointed when the finish started to come off.  I put a few thousand rounds through my USFA Rodeo and Case Colored Premium and have cleaned them countless times with no change in their finish out all.  The Stampede's action is very good and smooth, even considering that it has the transfer bar.

You would probably have got the same part from Beretta as both pistols come out of the Uberti factory.

Renagade Revenger

I have a few and they are fine guns. I did have a cosmetic issue on the Marshall which was a few pins holes in  the back starp and the trigger guard area which seems to be a issue with the casting of the trigger guard section....told Berreta about it they seem not to be too interested in my opinion and like I said its cometic so i did not push the issue...may at a later date fill it in with some metal like auto fill and re blue but too much time shooting and not enough time for re finsihng .... take care

SFT

I must have had some lemons, and if customer service had been at all helpful I might still have them.  Out of time right out of the box, internal parts broke with every shot, it was like the internals were made from cast zinc.  Then the nighmare with customer service (service?  what service?) started, all in all I had to sell them just as soon as I got them back from being repaired ( at my expense) just to lessen financial loss.  I have heard they've improved everything a great deal since they were initially introduced, which is when I bought mine, but it's soured me on Beretta models and I won't buy another.
Of all the things I've lost over the years, it's my mind that I miss the most!

Chance, I understand that Uberti and Beretta are the same.  The point was, I needed the part quickly, three days from Brownells verses 2 or 3 months from Beretta, if they ever sent me one at all.  Most manufacturers want you to send them the whole gun and replace it themselves.

Just out of curiosity, was there a price difference?

44caliberkid

The ejector rod was 20.00 from Brownells or VTI, although I see Brownells is now getting $27.  If Beretta ever sends me a replacement I assume it will be free, and I may need an extra, as easy as this one broke.
