I..besides, he's probably just using this as a cover story for some liposuction  ;)

Yeah, well.....if he stays in there more than a couple of days, I think we should report him for mailingering!   ;D  (Article 115 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice)

All,

I would really like to thank you all for the out pouring of thoughts, prayers, well wishes, calls, cards and flowers.  The Doctors have told me that I am luckier that the Power Ball winner, if wealth can be determined by friends, I am indeed a rich man.  You folks have really defined the meaning of "The Cowboy Way for me."  Bless each of you.  I hope to be seeing y'all at the range soon.

Major Lewis,
I just signed and and saw the e-mails.  Get well soon, the Legation needs you back on the walls as soon as possible.  Those Boxers are getting close and all good Marines are needed at their posts.

Someone has to show the rest of the nations embassy guards how to do it the Marine way.

I see that Hill Beachy and I have been trained in the same philosophy.   In the "Old Corps" (tongue firmly in cheek, here!) you didn't report to the sickbay unless you were on death's bed, and even then most of your squadmates suspected you were goldbricking.

I was once so sick and unable to move that I was carried to sickbay on a stretcher.  Turned out I had a really bad care of pneumonia and had a hard time convincing the doc that I didn't want to go into the hospital.  Even so, my company commander thought I was faking it to get out of an inspection.

However, I KNOW that Bvt Lt Col and Maj Lewis would not stoop so low as to fake an illness just to chase a few nurses, though I know he wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of such an opportunity if it arose, which it has.

Thank you all again.  I am getting better today.  I was up and walking some laps around the floor until my nurse told me to go back to bed because my heart rate was too high.   :-\

But thanks to my family which I consider y'all part of, my spirits are really high.  I am hoping of going home tomorrow.  I am also hoping to be back at work next week.  The Doctor has cleared me for EoT and shooting, but I will take er easy.

US Scout, just so you know, I was on deaths door, apparently :o  The who thing kind of reminded me of the movie Tombstone where Wyatt and Morgan were talking about the white light going to heaven and the flashing light going to hell.  What does this say about me when I say that the only vision I got was of yellow foot prints?  LOL!

Also, I am going to request a formal Chance the the GAF Marine Corps authorized underwear.  It seens for quite sometime I will have to be wearing a nylon stocking and a garter to keep blood flowing to my leg and support.   :o  Quite sensual really ;D ;) ::)

Good Evening Bvt Lt Col Major Matt Lewis,

Humor is back which is always a good sign.  Now you got me thinking "Fishnet  nylons or OD Green or Cammo?"  Darn I just had a vision!  In todays military, don't ask, don't tell! It's great to hear that your doing well, and it wasn't that big bright light at the end of the tunnel, you know the one on engine #9, the train, haha. :D ;D ;D ::)  Semper Fi, from and ole FMF Corpsman!

Good Evening, Bvt LtCol and Major Lewis;

With all due respect, I think it is high time you transfer to the Royal Navy.  There might well be an opening for a Royal Marine officer on board HMS Pinnafore...

Del,

Hopefully I will not need them that long.  The hardest part of recovery will be the diminished lung capacity.  So, I will be hitting the cadio to build that back up.

Good luck, being sick ain't no fun.  You didn't do anything ornrey to any nurse did you?  Student nurses are more fun and they can't get back at you so easy. ;)
