A Founding Member of the Powder Creek Cowboys, originator of the GAF Muster and an all around good pard, Major Matt Lewis has been admitted to Shawnee Mission Hospital with a blood clot in his lung and calf.  Major Matt is a strapping young man and will undoubtedly make a speedy recovery, but let's not leave anything to chance; therefore your prayers would be appreciated.

Major Matt Lewis, sir!

My prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery and return to full duty! Do NOT be chasin' the nurses around the hospital bed, however!  Be sure to take your meds and listen to the docs!

Your friend and obdt servant,
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!

I don't reckon they've made a blood clot yet that could whup him...besides, he's probably just using this as a cover story for some liposuction  ;)

Good Evening, All;

My thoughts and prayers are with Major Matt Lewis.  Although I have never met the Gentleman face-to-face, I have had the pleasure of a long telephone conversation.  Major Lewis is what we used to call a "stand up guy"...

I have the honor to remain,

This is indeed disturbing news.  Bvt Lt Col and Maj Matt Lewis is one of our most enthusiastic and energetic supporters.  I sure hope the PMs I've been swapping with him have contributed to the blood clot!

But, as has been said, he is a strapping young lad and I don't see this as setting him too far back.  I expect he'll be out and among us before much longer.  Until then, we will keep him in our prayers and thoughts.

Major Matt,
  You really tried that blue pill that Dr. Fishbane gave you didn't you?
My prayers are on the way for you to have a speedy recovery.
  This gives you time to work on the Plainsman side match. By the way I have had several inquiries as to what will take place.
Get well and back on your feet.

If someone stops in to see him, be sure to tell him if he needs advice on how to handle the nurses, "don't" they can make things worse for a fella. ::)  Oh and tell him to get better.

Major Matt, I heard about your illness from one of the Other forums in the Hall, very sorry to hear about this,  I will be keeping you in prayer.  I know you will be back in the Saddle in no time.  I know from experience that these things can give us a whole new appreciation for life.  I hope you have a laptop at the Hospital so you can keep up with the posts.  See you behind the shooters line.

Yeah, especially since his WIFE is a nurse too!    ;D
