During the night a band of hooded carnivores destroy the greenhouses.  As an afterthought, they plant more corn.

Upon closer inspection, Sod Buster finds that those plants were not only left unharmed, but had been provided with tender loving care in order to provide for a long and healthy life.  Three buds were found to be missing, however.
