CROP SUMMARY FOR THE LAST WEEK

Rains brought much needed relief to dry conditions throughout Sodbuster Township.  Days suitable for field work were 5.5.  Average precipitation remained below normal at 1.52 inches.  The average temperature was an above-normal 77 degrees.  Sporadic rainfall was beneficial to crop growth, but not quite enough to replenish soil moisture levels in all areas.  Pasture conditions continue to deteriorate.  Many livestock producers are feeding hay and supplemental feed.  First cutting hay yields were said to be extremely low.  The corn crop in most areas benefited from the rains, but in some areas is still showing signs of stress from the earlier dry conditions.  Early sweet corn is in full tassel, and other vegetable crops are doing well.  Winter wheat yields were reported to be high with good grain quality.  Reporters say most of the tobacco crop looks good, considering the lack of moisture. Tobacco producers began irrigation this week.  Other farm activities included harvesting barley, scouting fields, and applying herbicides to soybean fields.

As per the agreement in Trintyland, the Ralph River now flows along the edge of sodbuster Township in case of a dry spell.  It then flows into the Gulf of Gonkjzith. ::)

See?  It's not so bad.  That is unless the river is not named after our pard Ralph, but instead the verb to ralph! :o :o :o :o

To end the confusion, Delmonico places signs along the Ralph River.  "Do not ralph in the Ralph River." :P

After a long nites work, litl' rooster drives off in his old truck...............folks around the township and else wheres plan big celebrations for the Nation's birthday.  litl' rooster has planned the rebirth of his village. While all slept he rerouted all the erie-gation pipe, and has pumped the water back to litl' roosterville.  It's actually legal, I filed for all water rights sometime back in another thread.  :o :o :o The water I use to allow folks to use for free will now have to be renegoiated.

The water rights were in the Newbrassky thread, that's western water rights, first come, first serve.  litl roosterville is in Vir-ginny and that's eastern water rights, everyone gets a share. :o

Sod Buster returns from a trip to the southwest territories of the Township where he was inspecting the new Ag College only to discover the water is gone.

Boys, I done been sittin' back 'n considerin' this here debate.

Now.  From where I'm sittin', NE is north west.  From where Marshal Will is, it's a l'iil north east.  North west fer OT.  'Nother werds, it's in the middle.  So middle = mid 'n west or east.  Maybe it's the middle east.
