They can fight over the east end till flying pigs freeze in hell for all I care, but when ya cross inta either Dakota, Newbrasskey, Kansas. Oak-lee-homa or Texas you done left the midwest and entered the west. ;D
As fer as I'z concerned, anything west of the Missouri River is the West. The Midwest is MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, MI, and OH.  ;)

SOD BUSTER CROP SUMMARY FOR WEEK ENDING JULY 9, 2006

Most areas in the Township spent this past week trying to recover from the heavy rains and flooding experienced from the previous week.  Days suitable for work were 5.  Average rainfall across the township was above average at 1.47 inches.  The average temperature was 74 degrees, which is below normal for this time of year.  Soil moisture levels remain satisfactory. The previous heavy rains and flooding caused tobacco to exhibit signs of excessive moisture.  Cooler weather and timely rainfall have helped pastures and hayfields continue to show improvement. Grain harvest was again delayed due to the rainfall.  This also caused a delay in planting late and double crop soybeans.  Peach and potato harvests are underway while the tomato harvest is expected to begin at anytime.  The sweet corn harvest continues with good yields.  Calves are being vaccinated for fall sales and heifers are being selected for heifer development.  Other activities this week included spraying soybeans, bush hogging, scouting fields, cleaning around the farm, and scouting for soybean rust.

I figure anything the other side of the Rocky Mountains is "back east".
People like me are the reason people like you have the right to bitch about people like me.

Although Sod Buster would prefer to do business with the Litl' Roosterville HOOTERS, he doesn't turn down the order for more veggies.  Sod Buster loads up his wagon with the standard Hooters order:
* Potatoes for the Curley Fries, Potato Salad, and Baked Potao Soup
* Cabbage for the Cole Slaw
* Beans for the Baked Beans & Chili (note:  LR didn't use beans in his Chili but Trinity did)
* Onions for the Onion Rings and Chili
* Mushrooms for the Grilled Mushrooms
* Cucumbers for the pickles
* various veggies for the Vegetable Soup & Salads (Tomatos, Eggs, Lettuce, Carrots, etc)

Sod Buster begins his journey to the Silver Creek Slim County Hooters in hopes that the border guards do not hassle him.
