Who does work on 1860 Army cap-n-ball revolvers?

I am wondering if there is a place that does work on them.

I have a new set of steel frame Pietta revolvers coming and I am thinking of having them worked on.
(having a narrower blast shield  installed around the hammer to prevent caps from falling out)

Ideas?

I'd first try different caps and/or different nipples if that's a problem.

It never was on originals - or Colt would've come up with a fix - but with modern-day imports, perhaps you're encountering manufacturing tolerance differences.

At any rate - 'you' can easily replace the nipple without any elevated costs beyond initial purchase.

Good Luck.
