Paladin;  Soory we can't meet for me to buy you that drink.  I'll only be in JOE for 4 days.

I find that ROOGER nips fit the Uberti's, but the Pietta's are LARGER than the rugers, and have a finer pitch.  Ruger nipples will KINDA thread in, but with very little "bite"  Try VTIgunparts for a technical answer.

Ruger & Uberti's are 12 x 28  ( some dimensions may vary?)
Pietta's are 6 x .75mm

Sorry I aint been back to ya but weve had real problems at home, it seems that ya get things sorted have a few `normal` days n then the #@!! hits the fan again!!

Kinda     ya wont be able stay a bit longer but enjoy yerself while ya are here!!

Chance;  I appreciate your chiming in.  My son is looking for a bird gun, and for clay practise.  He is about to get married, and is on the academic staff at Sandhurst, so cost IS a factor.  Between us we have quite an arsenal in Canada, so he would be looking for something to put back on the market at some point.  His own #1 gun is a Browning CITORI, with choke tubes, and something along that line, but not necessarily a Browning would do.  I passed up an ARMY & NAVY hammer gun one time, and for something like that I might assist him - If I could get "dibs' on it later.

Price range?  I believe that Spanish guns, used, start about L350?

PM me.  Price range is somewhat open.  Timing? For Sep/Oct?

Just a quick clarification, Uberti nipples are 5.5 x .9 mm which is .0005 different in major diameter from the 12 x 28 ROA's and .0002 different in pitch.  To use ROA nipples an a Uberti just chase the thread with a 12 x 28 tap, make some .012 washers to space them up a bit (ROA nipples are shorter) and screw the nipples with washers into your Uberti cylinder. Works for me.
