Howdy Cuts, Please move this to the proper mailbox, but I wanted to give a heads up to Pete's fellow darksiders.

I'm saddened to know that El Paso Pete is not doing at all well. We talked and all I'll pass on is that he's hoping to end up on the "right side of the cloud".

Please pray for Pete and his wife Rose

I called Pete's home and he was awake. I talked to both Pete and Rose. Tomorrow my bride and I will see him for a few minutes.

Please keep your prayers and thoughts comming to both Pete and Diane. She is doing hospice alone. Family is comming and she will have help.

Pete knows you are pulling for him and he says to tell you that he appreciates every one of you.

He's a great pard.

There's a post on the SASS Wire that Pete passed away this morning, IIRC, it was posted by Rose under his sign on.
Our condolences to Rose and his family and friends, which by the posts piling up, were many.
I enjoyed his posts here and on the Wire, but like many never had the pleasure of meeting him personally.

I stopped in at Pete's house this morning and learned there, of his passing. I'd missed him by very few hours. We had spoken by phone the day before. Pete is my friend. He was friend to many. Remember him always as a truly great Cowboy. He'd like that.

P.S. Pete had bought new duds to wear at the NRA convention at the SASS booth. He was with us to the last. Please stop by the booth and let them know that we loved him.

I had the great pleasure of posseing with him during Hang 'um High last year. A true Warthog Darksider. I'll miss him. I'll be praying for his family and friends.
