I have a Uberti '73 Carbine in .357. My wife was shooting a Rossi '92 in .357 until she tried mine. Then I had to buy her a '73 to get mine back. They've all been slicked up. Nate Kiowa Jones is the one I would recommend for the action work if you can't do it yourself. Near as I can tell, EVERYTHING needs work out of the box, even the Marlin Cowboy (I saw a friend of mine get his slicked up the other day and it made a world of difference). So, you pick what you like and add $100 to it for some action work. 8)

Still Like the '92's.  Just Slicked up the Mrs. 70's vintage Rossi.  It cost me all of $20 for the Lee's Spring Kit from Brownells'.  That made a huge difference for her.  She wasn't wild about giving it up in the first place and now, she does not want to give it up at all ;D.  Personally, the 92's handle the best for me, got em in 25-20, 32-20, 357, 38WCF, 44 mag, and looking for a 44wcf of reasonable price ::).

I started with a Winchester'94 trapper and I dearly loved that rifle.  I now shoot a yellowboy '66.  It was the first rifle I ever had, that has a action job and it shoots so, smooth.  Strawberry Lars, taught me alot about pistols and rifles.  Best part was he explained it where even I could understand, what to do and not to.  Next shoot your at, ask to borrow a different rifle in the caliber you are looking for.  Russ. N. Hound taught me how to fall in love, with a yellowboy.  Step away from my rifle.  LOL

I shoot a Uberti Yellowboy in 45lc.  It is a great gun to shoot.  Accurate right out of the box.  Next to my Colt Sporter in .223, it is my favorite rifle to shoot.  Unfortunatly my .223 is not SASS legal.   ;D

I haven't gotten it yet but, I have a Taurus, Thunderbolt on order in .45lc.
