I've loaded bunches of shotshells for trap, sc, and hunting. I have a bunch of paper hulls I would like to load for cas events. But I have not ever loaded paper hulls, is there any difference to stuffing papers as oppossed to plastics?  ???   ???

Dawg,

The only difference I have found in loading paper shells is in the crimp.  I use an old VersaMEC and I just ordered the smooth crimp starter instead of the six- or eight-point.  Other than that, powder, wad, shot, overshot card as usual.  You may also want to look into putting a roll crimp on those paper hulls.  Looks sharp and is more hostorically accurate to boot.

I doubt this needs to be said, but check your reloading books for paper hull loads.  Don't try to convert plastic loads until you have some experience with paper.

Sincerely,

Now where did I put that fuming nitric acid?

Does anyone smell smoke?
