Got my Bond Cowboy Defender in .357/38 this weekend and shot it with the  Snakebite BL and BP.  What fun from a small package!  Anyone else shooting theirs with BP?    ;)

Don't use anything but,  Holy Black---works perfect--357Mag hits hard N is surprizingly accurate.

I had the opportunity to shoot one about 10 years ago.  For a little hand cannon it was accurate with .38 Spl in it.  I fired one chambered in .45 ACP with Factory FMJ's and it was a handfull.  Almost like grabbing a hold of a grenade.

I want one in .44 Russian, but all they offer is .44 Mag.  I'd rather have the extra rifling and a short cylinder.  Don't need the recoil.  A .44 Russian with BP and a 200 to 225 grain bullet would be sufficient to end any altercation up close and personal.  Esspecially if cast from a 30 to one lead/tin mix.
Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.

They make those things in 44 mag!??!!

Hay Kid,

Mine is an American in .45/.410, and was real accurate in my hands when I bought, it using the supplied loads with 235.  I switched to the Holy Black and keyholed at three feet until Pigeonroost Slim loaned me his load using FFFG, grits and his Big Lube boolit.  Works great for CAS, top bar'l shoots six inches higher at six feet but at least it's consistent.  I s'pect .38 with rifling all the way along would be reasonably accurate if one really wanted to hit something.   ;)  Good shootin' Pard

Well, mine prints about 4'' apart vertically with 3F and the Snakebite Big Lube bullet at 5 yards.  Sure does sound neat!  Big boom from a small package.

I have used the 45/40 barrel with Goex and the 200 grain Big Lube Bullet.  What's this about grits??

Did I tell you about he time I showed up with it.  The RO did a double back flip when I touched it off.  I guess that he wasn't expecting the smoke and noise.  He did have to admit that he didn't see any misses. ;D ;D

I'm thinking about getting a 45 Colt barrel set for mine.  The more smoke, the better.   ;D   ;D   ;D
