Something missed here about the differences in the 2f and the 3f powders ... the finner grain of the 3f goes off quicker thats why its a choice pistol powder , you don`t have as much barrel for a long burn .. the 2f is a slower burner and needs more barrel lenght to get a good burn ... with all said for close up work like sass shoots eaither one would do fine ... i wouldn`t use 3f in my shotgun loads because of the weight of the lead i`m throwing .. no since in putting the extra pressures to the test in yer favorite scattergun .but i`m pickey about barrel lenghts and black powder too .. some are not . we just all have our ways , and we do what works best for us .
