used to be a mill down at Muskogee, pressed soybeans for oil, they then used both the oil and meal for livestock feed.  it sure had an odd ordor when heated and rolled through them presses.

Trinity

On the 17th of January 1929, Popeye the Sailor first appeared in newspaper comic strips.  Happy Birthday Poppeye and Trinity has to eat some spinach in his honor. ;D

The E-Coli in the spinach was traced to wild hog droppings. ;D

And here I thought it was illegal alien droppings.  ::)

Yup...wait until Trinity sees this.  ;D

LR, I agree.  I've been thinking about that Bar-B-Que place.  I am ready to go back anytime.

Actually... the burger didn't look all that bad except for the spinach.  I have been known to eat ground turkey on occasion.  You may remember that last year I thawed some ground turkey and didn't eat it right away.  I finally ate it a couple of months later.  I wasn't sure about the color, but I didn't get sick.  ;D ;D

Now, if you want some good food:  (Too bad I'll have to wait another year to have more. :'( :'( )

Except for veggies.   ;D

Sadly, I used to really be able to eat anything, but as age sets in I am finding more and more things that don't go that well.  They still taste good, but just don't stick around too long.  :P :(

I stopped eating pepperoni on my pizzas a while back, but every now and again I try it again.  This was the case last Sunday.  Monday morning at 4 AM  I awoke caughing and realized that I had had an acid "explosion" and was choking on stomach acid and had even breathed some into my lungs.  I spent the next half hour trying to cough it up. :P :P :P

I always keep some tums around,  I don't have trouble with acid too much, but when I do I want something to neutralize it.  one of the things that I have to watch out for is green bell peppers, even a little will set it off.

A teaspoon of baking soda in a glss of water is the best antacid you can get.  A lady with a PHD inChemistry that was one of my teachers told me that, the liquid will work much faster and Sodium bicarbanate is one of the best acid neutalizers you can get,  spill a 55 galon drum of acid and that is what they use in the clean-up.

Don't have no troubles with anything edible in the stomach part, on down now that is a different story, some things are a no no, they don't stick to my ribs or anything else, corn and any raw veggie don't work, however pickled don't cause problems.  Weird, but then we know what a pain my guts cause at times. :P

While we're on the subject of your gut, Del, there's a recall on some of the surgical net/mesh. Might want to check with your repair Doc to make sure your innards ain't been recalled...................Buck 8) ::) :o ;)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Delmonico

Not to worry, that is wall repair stuff and I don't have any of that.  The stuff I get dissolves after a while.

BTW January 18th,1778 - Captain James Cook discovered the Sandwich Islands, now known as Hawaii.   ;D
