On the 17th of January 1929, Popeye the Sailor first appeared in newspaper comic strips. Happy Birthday Poppeye and Trinity has to eat some spinach in his honor.

Not totally.....
Here on the East Coast, truckers were taking veggies into NYC and then hauling garbage out so they wouldn't return empty. The trucks got contaiminated with the garbage and then were not properly cleaned before more fresh produce was loaded in them for anoither trip to the Big Apple.

Although this practice is prohibited, it was still being done.

Wash your food - 'cuz the resturants may not.

we grind up some turkey breasts sometimes and make burgers, I guess it just depends on what ya put on it.

I will say what I have et of it I didn't like but it was better than the soy bean stuff.

Heck I got friends that grow that and the only way I'll eat it is in soy sauce.

Back when I was President o' tha Va Soybean Assn we got stores ta sellin' 'em by the ton...

Still find them in lots of Va and NC stores.
