How do you finish an edge on a strap,so it does'nt have the raw cut look? other than sewing etc, just a plain edge. TIA ???

I rub a little beeswax on it and burnish it with a slicker or section of cotton firehose. The slicker is easier since it has a groove to hold the edge.

I use an edge beveler, they come in different sizes. The higher the number on the beveler the more leather it will take off.http://www.tandyleather.com/prodinfo.asp?number=807702&variation=&aitem=43&mitem=47 They will give the edge a rounded look and then use a slicker to burnish the edge. I use my slicker on a drill, more specifically a drill press, although either will work.http://www.tandyleather.com/prodinfo.asp?number=812200&variation=&aitem=4&mitem=4 This will help with burnishing http://www.tandyleather.com/prodinfo.asp?number=226401&variation=&aitem=2&mitem=4
