Very Cool!!  I see a pair for me in the near future!  Given that they are percussion revolvers with spare cartridge cylinders, need they go via FFL? Anybody know this late on a Friday night...

This is great. It's a gated conversion, too. Now things are really looking up. ;D

When i recived my drop in conversion from Taylors .. there was some papers with it showing new products .. they have now a 1858 remmie gated conversion in stalled with the original ejector rod dovetailed in the loading lever // pretty nice i think its on a uberti too .. price was right too under 500 bucks ..worth a look ..

Sundance, was there a photo? Is it the thin rear plate copy of the original that Taylor's had a prototype of a few years back as shown in GOTW?

Hey,...Fox Creek,....That looks pretty good, and it's nice to see more offerings for the Remington conversions. I wonder how close of a design this one is to the Kirst. It's likely a Uberti, right?,....cause I think that's who Cimarron works with.  The picture on this one looks like it has that nice sleek, low profile ejector rod housing which could be dovetailed into the frame like the originals. I wonder if Cimarron has a more detailed description of it,...maybe if ya e-mail them.

FoxCReek i went back and took another look at the Taylors offering .. it may be the thinner backing plate looking at the picture ... it doesn`t say and it doesn`t state its a uberti ... but it sure looks like one from the finish on the frame and grips ...and dovetailed front sight ...and you can get it in 5 1/2 barrel or 8'' barrel 38 cal or 45 cal ..your pick ... and the price is...........$445.00 american ... wow you can`t build one yer self for that ! ... i don`t know if they have a pic on their site yet or not .. she`s a bute though !  oh boy come on Christmas !  :o

Since Cimarron is selling it as a combo gun, it will have to go through an FFl Dealer.  The Drop in Conversion Cylinders, both R&D and Kirst are considered parts and not subject to AFT regulations.  This firearm is sold with a cartridge cylinder for immediate use with .45 Colt ammo.  It will be regulated by the BATF regs as well as State and local laws.
Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.

Fellas,
Get em while you can...I understand there may be a law suit in the works for patent rights infringments.. Just something I heard at the NCOWS convention from someone that ought to know..
