Some body got shot there, but it wasn't Davy.

El Peludo

Okay!  The bullet chips are a given, and they are from somebody being shot, obviously, in front of an old wall, or an old looking wall.  But the "star" that is overlayed: could be a projection, or a duplicated drawing on a couple of pieces of transparent material; but I sure can't cipher a reason for the connection that is implied.  ?????

Don't get hung up on the plastic.  Best I could determine, it is there simply to keep folks from digging around in the actual (or alleged) bullet hole.

Four-Eyed Buck

Wel, for sure it's like lexan or something along that line put over the hole to protect it. So the hole must be historically important. I'm assuming this is in the Lone Star State..........Buck 8) ::) :-\
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Capt. Hamp Cox

Don't never assume nothin'.  Might be next door, though. ;)

Delmonico

Did Pat Garrett miss little Billy onced and put a hole in Pete's bedroom wall?

Del's gettin' really close here, with one of the key players being directly involved, and the other being indirectly involved with the incident in question.  Location, however, is not correct.

Hint:  Think Bell.

Delmonico

Courthose staircase in Lincoln NM.  Billy shot Bell with the supposed "outhouse gun."  Got Olingers shotgun and shooted him with both barrels.

Here's the photo with the plackard.  Both are located at the bottom of the stairwell in the Lincoln County Courthouse, Lincoln, NM.  Was there last week and strongly recommend stopping in Lincoln if ever in the vicinity.  There's a great visitor's center/museum with mucho BTK related memorabilia, documents, etc., and several structures that have been restored and furnished with period correct contents (but only a vacant lot where McSween's house was burned).  The courthouse was undergoing some exterior renovation, and had scaffolding erected, which wasn't especially photogenic.

Delmonico

I recomend stopping in Lincoln, oops ya ment New Mexico. ;D
