Howdy...

I am in the process of purchasing a Cimarron 1851 R-M in a .38...A friend here in Michigan, who owns a gun shop acquired it at the SHOT SHOW in Vegas.

After the legal stuff is done...The gun will be mine.

I have fairly big (fat) hands, and when I hold the gun, my pinky needs to be tucked under the grip...Is this normal, or should I consider purchasing new grips ??

Also...Does anyone know what historical figures may have used such a gun ??

Thank you

Yes you have him pictured under your name.

Doc Holliday for one carried a nickelled  '51 RM

It is reputed that Wild Bill also had a pair of 51 conversions but the most common one attributed to him were the percussion.

It's not only normal, but it also gives good gun control.
