NCOWS Pards & Pardettes, All,
Regarding the above picture, I would like to add that these are three of the finest gentlemen you'll ever meet! I have had the pleasure and honor of knowing them all for well over 30 odd years, and to a one, they will welcome you into the fold as a New, Best Friend.
Knowing Dave from former Buckskinning days, he took me, my son and my friend under his wing at our very first NCOWS CVR Posse Shoot, and I'm here to tell ya' friends, if it hadn't gone as well as it did that day, I would not have stayed. Period! Dave worked us through the stages with a kind voice, encouragement and a boatload of patience as we only had one rifle, one shotgun and two revolvers between the three of us; we laughed, we hooted, we shot, we missed, and later we talked about it all the way home and throught the next week...we could hardly wait to get back up there for the next Shoot!
All 3 of these fine gents come out of a solid historical reenacting base, Fur Trade Era, Rev War, Civil War, etc., and are well-versed in all areas, from firearms to tent pegs, they have it down pat! George has had many articles published in 'how-to' books/mags for the historical reenacting hobbyist and Duane knows his stuff inside and out! It would be a treat and an honor to host them in a three man round table discussion/seminar at next year's NCOWS Convention, we could talk for hours about the historical attributes of reenacting in the past 30-40 years as they all have been there, done that, have the T-shirts and scars to prove it!
When they first started NCOWS, I'm sure they would tell you that they had no idea it would bloom as fast as it did, and that the hobby would generate so many different possibilities and areas of need such as By-Laws, rules for Posses, etc., etc., etc. After 10 years of solid growth they have moved their herd to a different grazing range, but the extreme efforts they put forth will not soon be forgotten.
Best regards and good shooting!

B.B.N.C.B./Bill, but NOT Cherokee Bill,
Sorry to inform you Bill, but your Little Girl will never, ever, grow up, she may get older but she will always be your little Girl! You are blessed to have children that are interested in history, they are few and far between these days.
Best regards and good luck!

Wes Virginian

Some of them pictures looks a lot like some I've seen of the guests of Yuma Prison. There's one that looks like French Jack, and he may have escaped from Yuma! ;)

Durn it all, Wes, you had to go and let the cat out of the bag!  I told you there was a good reason I had to disappear after the Beecher Island shindig.  I've already changed my name twice.  I can't do it again, or I'll forget who I am.  BTW, you BETTER make it to the Nationals.  You hear?
