I am waiting for my new 56-50 Spencer Rifle with anticipation and exitement. As I was down in Florida in January I got to examine an original Carabine that a good friend and fellow officer brought along. Nice sample of a Carabine it was to. My friend would not part with it.!!!   ::)

I know that a fellow club-member and re-enacter/CAS shooter here in Norway has an original Carabine to, with the extra senterfire block, cartridges and all........... So I am leaning on him to make him bring he`s original Carabine to the range this coming Sunday.  I alreaddy shot he`s original Sharps carabine! I will take a few pictures and perhaps post them to the SSS, that is if you`re interesested.?

Then there is my good frind "Capt Redneck". He actualy is a dealer who import firearms from Italy. I spoke with him for more than a hour last night. He has the 45 Scofield Spencer Carabine,(shot that one last summer to) and now he to wants the 56-50 Rifle to partner up with he`s Carabine in he`s gun-cart. Bouth agreed to not count the numbers of guns alreaddy in the gun-locker but to go with our inner feelings.!  And when I told him that get`n the Spencer 56-50 feels absolutely 110% right, he agreed right away. So it looks like there will be two 56-50 Rifles, "en route" to Norway.!  Of course I told him about the SSS and he will be here shortley.  In the meanwhile the happy Waiting is all we have to do......Besides get`n aqoutrements for the Rifle.
I have been in contact with the "Dakota Widowmaker" and ordered mould, sizer, brass and dies from him. As DW is at the NCOWS convention we will work out the details for the transaction when he get back.  I am one happy soldier, and greatfull for all the help the Spencer Shooting Society has provided.....! ;D :D ;D  Help for future happy shooting and right now, happy waiting....................! ;D ;) ;D

Snapshot,

Please post the photos!  We are always interested in seeing photos of our beloved Spencer.  Lots of closeups showing detail would be great!

I don't know how long it takes for mail to get from here to Norway, but the envelope with that article on the Blakeslee Cartridge holder is going in the mail today.

Snail Mail or Mule Mail, it depends.  But a few days for sure.  I`ll let you know.  Sometimes when Ihave had items sendt to me from the US it has been a swift transport, and other times up to tree weeks.  Once I ordered a Custom Muzzleloder and that was a nightmare, but we managed to send it trough DGW and their contacts.  Two Flints, I will let you know as soon as the article arrives..... Thanks a lot....!
