what kinda ammo are you using?  this may be one of those shotguns that use recoil to set the trigger for second shot.  if there isnt enough energy the trigger wont reset.  this can also be caused by not keeping the gun firmly against the shoulder, or it could be a glob of grease or dirt impeding the reset.  take the buttstock off and clean everything good with carb cleaner then lube lightly with gun oil.  dont use wd 40 it turns to varnish eventually.  or try heavier loads and make sure you got the gun to yer shoulder firm enough.
hope this helps.

When this happens have you inspected the shell (primer) to see if it has been dented even slightly?

howdy.  Yep the primer is dented each time , and have tried both the Win feather and another brand. Its at the smiths now , thought some one might know a direction he could go.

in proscess of limination, is this a new Shotty? It may be a binding from excessive grease or rough metal in the fit. I have seen problems in the Stoerer double triggers with one of the barrels not firing, however I am unfamiliar with the single trigger Bakil. With the Stoeger it's a matter of tightening the effective firing pin. I shoot a hammered Bakil and a internal hammmer Stoeger.

If you are getting a dimple in the primer then that side is resetting, it's a matter of hitting it enough to cause it to fire. Have you tried the same shell a second time?
