Frenchie

Oh, I'm an enlisted man, through and through. I'm only an Acting Lieutenant Commander, USN in the GAF. If I showed up on USS Constellation in an officer's suit, I'd probably end up in the brig on bread and water.  :D

I've been a private soldier in the 3rd US Infantry 1860-1865 for 'most 11 years now. I have been to the reenactor NCO School at Ft. Washington, MD, not because I particularly want to be a sergeant, but because it's good to know the duties of the next higher rank, in my case, corporal. If I can ever actually make it to an NCOWS shoot, I may be dressed as an infantry sergeant, an infantry officer or a naval officer, but I'm likely to be the first to salute anything in shoulder straps or epaulettes just out of habit  :D
Yours, &c.,

Guy 'Frenchie' LaFrance
