Update:  The Jojoba oil has been doing a very good job as a wipe down oil and as a precision oil for small parts.  I do agree there are better synthetic alternatives such as automatic transmission fluid (ATF) that I use in Ed's Red.  The nice thing I do like about the Jojoba oil is it doesn't ruin wood grip finishes the way modern oils will.
