Colt 1st Model Dragoon .44 caliber (Black box edition), Colt manufactured revolver. Not long ago, or should I say it doesn,t seem like long ago Colt re-introduced their black powder line of firearms. True, Colt allowed a replica manufacturer to use their name on a quality edition of the recreated revolvers, but a Colt is a Colt and these revolvers were definitely Colt quality with Colt,s name and serial numbers. It was well known at the time of manufacture that they continued the serial numbers where the original model serial numbers left off. In addition there are no foreign proof marks on these Colt,s as they were assembled in the United States, and final finished here as well. This is a recreation of the 1st model Dragoon with the oval locking lugs and the square back trigger guard. The frame and loading lever assembly is of the finest color casehardening, with a satin finished blue on the remaining metal parts. We all are aware that the original cap-n-ball Colts as well as the continuations shoot high. The previous owner had a dove tail cut and a higher front sight installed on the barrel of this 1st model Dragoon, for this reason and the fact that there is not an original factory box and paper, this otherwise very good condition revolver has been reduced somewhat in price.

Down the page a ways is a Palmetto Trophy Winner single shot percussion.  Isn't that the same as the Tingle Target Model?
