Got it from the Marshall and it shore is a pretty thing. Very nice wood on it, too. Just hope if functions and fires properly. Dakota W.'s mold also arrived today, so I have some casting and loading to do.
VERY COOL GUN!

That's great to hear, Bill!   ;D

Any chance you could snap a digital pic or two and post 'em here, to kinda tide me over for a while?
(My carbine is still in "international transit limbo"...    :-\ )

   Greetings!

Well Gents, I finally have my ArmiSport/Taylors Spencer Infantry Rifle. Complete with the SRC staple on the left side. I'll just tell everyone that it's a Springfield Armoury Rifle Musket conversion of 1871...! It looks like someone took the rear sight and leaned against the buffing wheel; I think that my eyes would appreciate having the notch opened a tad. Otherwise, the fit & finish is very nice, and it has a good heft and balance.
I hope to take it, and a generous assortment of Ctgs, up to the San Gabriels soon, with a reloading report using StarLine and .348WCF brass.

           Be Well, All!

Wish I could say that my Spencer is in my hands!  :-\

Unfortunately, I just today got the word from Marshal Halloway that my carbine, sent to me over two months ago, has finally found its way back to him!   :(

Despite all his advance efforts to confirm - and document - that this carbine is exempt from US State Department export regulation, some nitwit (at Canada Customs, apparently) seems to have sent the shipment back, due to it ""lacking export papers"!   >:(

I understand that the Marshal is going to call the US State Dept.to find out if he may have missed something (though apparently he did things the same way as other shipments to Canada which made it through) and then will be re-sending my order.

My heartfelt appreciation to Marshal Halloway for his ongoing efforts!   ;D

Hi RattlesnakeJack,

Sorry you are having such a hard time getting your Spencer...waiting can be very difficult.  The anticipation eats away at you...been through it for other reasons.  Hang in there and I'm sure the Marshal will get it all worked out for you.

I am waiting to, but you see that is kind of normal up here at the top of Europe! Nothing wrong with that.
And there is a saying that the one who is waiting for something good shall not wait in vain...!
I`ll just shoot somthing else until I get my Spencer Rifle! Like my Pedersolli percusion Sharps Berdan--- Cool rifle,
and then I just got a Palmetto replica Colt Root rifle and a tiny litle Root revolver that I am to pick up this thusday.!
But there is somthing extremely right about having a Spencer, so I am really looking forward to recive my sample.
Do hang in ther Ratlesnake Jack, the Marshall is probably doing all he can to make you get your`s...!!!
Honour is like a an island, steep and without a shore.
Once you leave you can newer return.!
