Well, I shoot a side by side shotgun and a '92 Winchester clone so I don't believe any of these changes apply to me. Still, I don't like some of them, especially the '97 Winchester rule. One of our major suppliers has spent a helluva lot of money on those '93 Wichester shotguns. I seriously doubt that anyone else will spend money bringing "new" stuff to us after this.
It doesn't matter to me, my pension is small enough that I shall pretty much die usin' what I got. Still, pards have been nice enough to let me shoot some of the really neat stuff that I shall never be able to afford. I am going to miss that.

Thanks, John.

All I did was name it 'n get it started. The posse made it great. A debt I can never repay. Thank you, mi amigos.

The main point I see with the Covenant. It will cost many of the members more money and time and frustrate the same amount. I know of some who have sold they're former rigs to buy the slicked up pieces because they felt more comfortable with them in they're shooting. Now some are going to have to try to find a way to buy new rigs and hope they can find buyers for the many rifles, shotguns and pistols that are illegal under the new provisions.. Seems a waste of time and effort for a hobby.

Fast, there's really no guns banned due to modifications. All the pump action shotguns other than the Win 97 in 16 and 12GA were banned by WB Edict. Also, those handguns that have more then six chambers in their cylinders, such as the Nagant revolvers, are to be declared illegal for SASS use.

The only current mods that may require changing is a short stoke, if it fails the provided measurement for allowed short strokes. The Mod Doc on the first page of this post tells you how to do it.

Again, no standard six shot handguns or rifles already in use for SASS shooting were banned, though if they have a disallowed modification, which are actually few, they may have to have that modification changed.

No one has to sell all their guns to buy new ones. Read the document and it may clear this up for you. They are not talking about action jobs and new springs put in guns being disallowed.

Cuts, just the Nagant. Isn't the Lemat a c&b?
It's only cartridge & rimfire guns affected.

Cuts, that was only because they have more than six chambers in the cylinder. I believed Fast to be talking about the standard six shooter SAA style of guns, and the normal rifles most of us use. I went back and edited my original post to include the more then six chamber proposal.
