Norinco 1887 Lever Shotgun problem

One of my friends has bought the only copy of this shotgun that has been imported into NZ. Importers didnt think there was a market.

From all the reading I have done on this board and others we were hoping it had the 2 shot drop adaption but it doesnt seem to.

It loads and cycles from the magazine like a dream but when we try dropping two rounds in ftom the top it will not close.

The shells seem to angle down.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how we get this adaptation to function

Dai, You need to talk to Coyote Cap on that one. One thing I'm not sure of is if all the versions of the Chinese '87 have the drop two mod or not............Buck

I have spoken to Cap on the phone several times as I have one of these on order. He is a fine gentleman and easy to talk to but busy as heck. His web site explaines the difference between his two shot mod and the drop two mod they are different . As I understand it the guns he is recieving have the two shot mod. in them he designed it. This might not be gospel but I think I am correct He or Jody can explain it. They are a small shop so call before you send in your piece
