Howdy Boys, this is my first post on CasCity, and I joined mainly because of my new interest in the Henry rifle. I shot CASS for a few years until about 15 years ago then my health crapped out and couldn't take the frenetic action. Since then been mostly into Older-timey muzzleloading, but picked up an iron frame in .44wcf and am having a great time with it, loading black powder, naturally. Looking fwd. to learning lots about these coolest of lever action guns, just finished the Quick book and have the Ford on order. And btw, mine shoots great!

Put me in too.  I bought a used "unfired" Blued 1860 in 45 from a LGS rifle in Mechanicsville,VA 2 weeks ago and shot it this past weekend.  It is very accurate but shoots very low.  Ordered rear sight from Track of the Wolf after reading posts here.  Look forward to trying it out.  I am a UBERTI convert now as I have an 1883, 1860 and am saving for an 1873.

I just picked up my "New to me" blued, iron framed Henry this morning. It is made by Uberti and is chambered in .45 Colt....

Excellent, Cap'n!

Love the blued ones and the color-case versions.  There weren't many "back in the day" (when Ollie Winchester & B.Tyler Henry were making them) but I believe (not KNOW) that about 400-450 left the factory without the gunmetal receivers.  (Brass/Bronze)

They are cool.

I guess I'm #160...  Just received my 1860 Navy Arms/Uberti steel framed 44-40 from a gentleman on this panel after selling my Spencer.  Was hoping to take it out this weekend but mother nature had other ideas :-)

Is there a Uberti serial number list to determine year of manufacture?
