I just picked up mine today. You have to buy through a gun dealer, unless you are one, TTN does not sell direct.

I just game back from my local gun shop and they have a couple of the Remington Spartans for about $450. I'm also giving these serious consideration.

The Spartan's are made by Baikal in Russia. Basically the same gun that was imported by EAA in the late '90's, early 2000's. The mods listed on the sites for the EAA guns should work with the Spartans......Buck

I used to use a EAA Bounty hunter and now use the TTN.  I think the TTN is a much better gun for SASS.  The hammer are set close together and I can cock both with one thumb at the same time.  Both guns are built strong and should last a long time.

The TTN has a fatter forarm which helps protect my tender finger from getting burnt when shooting longer shotgun strings.  The TTN weighs about 8 lb vs the 6.5 for the EAA which reduces the felt recoil alot.  I used to get my finger banged up by the trigger guard on the EAA at times and have never had that problem with the TTN. 

To me the TTN just looks more cowboy.

I'm going to echo Silver Rings.
I got my TTn 78 back in Oct.
I called Walt and had it shipped to my FFL dealer ( he (the dealer) like it so well he order another after seeing mine , it sold the next day)
Out of the box , mine was well ! superb ( I asked Walt to choose one with a nice figured stock ) he did just that. Americam Black walnut , fit and finish is very nice and blueing is very well done.
My FFL still has the Russian Remington he had orderd just before my gun came in.

The gun comes with a spare set of hammer springs and a larger bead sight.
The distance between the triggers is just 5/8 of a inch. so thumbing both back at he same time is a breeze.
My gun already had the big bead sight installed, and so far the springs are just fine ( I have not installed the provided softer springs ) for my thumb.
The chambers need nothing "nada" ( unlike my Stoeger) no polishing at all to shuck shells smartly. I got love that ,I had to polish the Stoeger and de-burr the extractor out of the box, before the hulls would slide out.

As for shooting, I use AA light #8 with Clean shot.
 However, for testing pattern out of the box, I had some factory Federal Field & Target 7 1/2 @ 30' both barrels (using a glow-see target)
were 10" ( a few shot pellets out at 12" ) mostly tight and just slightly bias up and left of dead on.

They list for $450 ,but I paid less than $410 shipped.

After I talked with a few guys at a local shoot, I ended up going to Big 5 and picking up a couch gun from Interstate Arms, (imported from "who knows where"). I did some minor gunsmithing with emery cloth and a Dremel buffing wheel and now it opens smooth as bullter. The triggers could use some work though. In photos, the gun looks the same as the Spartan but I think the Spartan was probably a little smoother on the details. On the other hand, this gun was only $215.00. For entry level, it should work fine but after practicing reloading, I can see where a pump shotgun could be quicker. After I get all my other equipment I'll probably start saving for a pump. BTW, is there a particular sequence for reloading a couch gun? Cocking the triggers seems to be one of the slower operations. Do you usually just pull them back one at a time or is there a technique for recocking them both at the same time?

I have some pards that are couch type shooters     they exist but you seldom see them at a shoot  (I've been guilty of it myself  )
