Howdy folks! Let ol' C.J. buy a round fer the house seein as how I ain't been 'round much 'n' gonna be 'round even less.....

Ol' C.J. been plum busy these days. Ya see, she's got herself a new beau (after 14 years of spinsterhood) 'n' fer some strange reason that seems to take some time away from bein parked in front of the ol' 'lektric telegraph (computer). Thangs is goin 'long really fine 

As if that weren't nuff ta keep me out of mischief (OUT of mischief? maybe I got that backwards?) I happened ta walk past the mirror a couppla days back 'n' wondered who that old fat broad was  Whal now I'z knowed I waz gonna haffta quit smokin, 'n' I knowed I should oughtta be loosin some weight, 'n' I knowed I weren't in as good a shape as I once were, 'n' I knowed I needed ta find sommit to occupy meself on these long cold prairie winters (in addition to the feller  ) 'n' it suddenly struck me that I oughtta get back into an old passion that'd pull everythang together - this fat ol' broad is strappin on the figger skates again and goin back into competition! I quit smokin, put meself on a diet and exercise program, ordered a brand new pair of top-notch skates, found a coach, got 10 hours a week free ice time from me local community, 'n' gonna sign up next week fer a adult competitor's program.

(Some 30+ years ago, yurs truly waz purdy heavy into figure skating until she took a bad spill. Bein on crutches, movin away, 'n' gettin hitched sorta distracted me from skatin.)

I'll still be shootin Cowboy all summer (and skating to) but I'z jist plum runnin outta hours in the day right now. Even me evening chatroom sessions is gonna be purdy infrequent - I'z "in training" doncha know?

Didn't jist wanna fade into the woodwork without a by-yer-leave so I figgered I'd jist let ya'll know what's become of ol C.J.

Whar the hell were you six months ago? Six years ago? I'z been single a long time 'n' weren't no CAS fellers chasin after me! I don't run all that fast ya know?

No, me feller ain't a shooter (yet) but he ain't a'feared of gunz neither, ner a woman with gunz - most are. When he starts hangin 'round at matches n' seein how much fun we have and how many good lookin men thar is, I expect he wont want me shootin alone
